Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has addressed claims suggesting his opposition to the practice of Islam in Nigeria.
Wike emphasized that his administration is not enacting laws that pass in opposition to the alignment of Islamic ideals.
His remarks had been made at some point of a meeting with contributors of the Abuja country wide Mosque control Committee, led by using Chairman His Royal Highness Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, the Etsu of Nupe.
Wike dismissed the notion that he harbors any hatred toward a specific spiritual group in Nigeria, declaring that he could as an alternative assist the ones fighting for noble causes. He emphasised the importance of harmony and non violent coexistence, urging spiritual leaders to sell these values.
The Minister confident that the FCT might provide essential help for the preservation of the countrywide Mosque and the national Ecumenical Centre, each of which maintain country wide importance as monuments.
Moreover, the Etsu Nupe requested the Minister’s help in resuming the maintenance challenge for the countrywide Mosque, which has faced delays nowadays.
